Strawberry chips are excellent for diets low in gluten, dairy products, eggs and sugar.
Strawberries are an important source of vitamin C and fiber. They contain minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium.
The consumption of strawberries is one of the best ways to lose weight. These fruits are rich in ellagic acid and anthocyanins. Anthocyanins promote the generation of adiponectin in the body, a hormone that stimulates the digestive system and reduces appetite.
Scientific research has also shown that eating strawberries can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Moderate starch, ellagic acid and anthocyanin consumption help control glucose levels in the body.
Here’s how to prepare strawberry chips:
- 12 strawberries rinsed and hulled
- ½ cup of water
- 3 tablespoons of stevia
Put the stevia and water in a saucepan, heat and stir until it forms a homogeneous mixture, then let cool.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and finely cut the strawberries in length.
Soak the fruit pieces in the cooled syrup and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Keep the oven at a low temperature until the pieces of strawberries dry (about 2 hours).
Once the strawberries are dried, remove them from the oven and place them on a cooling rack.
