In the UK, a smart pavement project supported by a fiber optic network has been launched in the streets to provide free high-speed Wi-Fi. Now for the residents of a British city to experience it will be popularized over the next few years.

The Internet will be provided by cables distributed in underground networks, so the new service depends on the infrastructure already in place, however, the way individuals log on to this network is not yet clear, since there is supposed to be a login, unless Designers were planning to leave this network completely unprotected. The move is expected to be a path to smarter cities, not only in the UK but worldwide.
